Dugaan Allah buat Abang Naz

CERITA DARI HATI(#CDH)

Entri XXX: Mata?

Untuk kesekian kali
Saya ke sini lagi
Rutinnya sudah boleh saya duga
Ambil tekanan darah
Ditanya list ubat ubatan
Di bawa ke bilik untuk ujian penglihatan
Lampu digelapkan
" Okay Mr Noor, we are going to assess your vision after the latest laser treatment that you had a couple of weeks ago.
Could you cover your left eye wiith this and read through the lowest line that you could read please?"
Itu permintaan nurse bernama Lucy pada saya.
" E
KDNOP
Bla bla bla
Bla bla blaaa"
Satu persatu huruf saya baca mengikut baris.
" How many times had you had the laser Mr Noor?"
" 6 times on each eye"
"Perfect. How about injection to your eyes?"
" 3 times on each I think"
" Put your chin on the chin rest please?"
" Okay Mr Noor. I am done with you. Please wait at the main waiting area again please?"
Wajah suaminya agak resah. Isterinya memegang tangan suaminya seakan menenangkan.
" No worries love. The result wil be okay. You will be alright"
Saya tersenyum.
Wajahnya tenang.
Saya perhatikan barisan duduk sebaris saya.
Dulu barangkali iya saya agak gelisah.
Saya selalu berseloroh dengan Ain
Saya kata
" Agaknya abang ni tua sebelum waktunya kan Ain?"
Tengoklah semua tua tua patients kat sini kan?"
Tapi kini saya dah biasa
Dulu saya mengeluh kerana sedih
Selalu saya tanya Ain
" Kalaulah kan Ain..
Tetiba jadi buta kan?
Ain dengan anak anak cemana ya?"
Ain senyum aja
Dia tau resah hati saya
" Abang takkan buta
Abang akan okay"
Dalam resah jiwa saya tanya lagi
" Kalau Ain.. Kalau..."
Ain diam
Menyusun ayat barangkali
Suasan jadi sunyi...
" Kalaulah abang tak nampakpun kan?
Ain akan sayang abang
Anak anak sayang abang
Kita ubahlah sesuaikan hidup kan bang?
Kan kita biasa dah kan?
In Shaa Allah bang
Allah ada..."
Ain just know what to say when I needed her to say things
Ain pernah kata
" Abang kena jaga mata abang.
Sebab ramai orang tumpang semangat kat abang, kat tulisan tulisan abang,
Kat apa yang abang share kat FB tu
Kat buku buku abang.
Kan banyakkkk lagi kan buku yang abang nak tulis.. Nak kongsi kan?"
Saya angguk...
" You will be okay bang. i know you will..."
Ain kan?
Satu satunya orang yang tak pernah putus asa dengan apa yqng saya nak capai.
Walaupun tah apa apa tak masuk akalpun apa saya nak buat
Ain tak pernah kata kat saya
" Why bang?"
Ain akan kata
" Boleh!! why not? Kita sama sama buat ya bang?"
Masa saya tulis entri ni baru lepas jumpa Dr pakar mata
Dr kata
" The development of your eyes particularly your left one is not good Mr Noor.
I need to see you again in a couple of weeks.
I prescribe you with a new eye drop to prevent further fracture in the vein at the back of yiur eye okay?"
Ahhhh...
I will be okay guys.
Kita macamtulah kan?
Bila dah ditarik nikmat baru nak rasa sayang
Masa elok dulu tak endahpun nikmat Allah bagi
Tapi takkan kerana gusarkan masa depan yang tak pasti arahnya kita meratap sampai tak hargai nikmat yang Allah pinjamkan hari ini kan?
Tak sabar nak jumpa semua bulan depan.
Nak tengok muka korang puas puas
Kita jumpa...
Janji?
:-)

Toni Nadal: The future of tennis

I’ll start with a quote from Mario Vargas Llosa’s essay “The civilization of the spectacle”:

"Today, sport has acquired an importance that in the past it possessed only in Ancient Greece. For Plato, Socrates, Aristotle and other frequenters of the Academy, the cultivation of the body was simultaneous and complementary to the cultivation of the spirit. It was believed that both are mutually enriched. The difference with our time is that now, generally, the practice of sports is made at the expense of, and instead of, intellectual work ".

In the past, when we watched players like Ilie Nastase, Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe and Björn Borg we didn’t just appreciate their different styles, but we marveled at the way they could improvise and produce strategies to defeat each one of their opponents. They prepared each and every point and resolved them in their own way. We admired their talent as tennis players, but we loved their intelligent approach to the game as well.

Today, though, certain developments in the world of tennis are a cause for concern. A few days ago I read that at the recent Australian Open, more than seventy per cent of the points did not last longer than four shots. The statistics are similar at last year’s US Open. These figures may not surprise us, but the people who love this sport have reason to be worried.
There have been no changes in the rules of tennis since it first became a professional sport, even though today’s players are far bigger and more powerful than their predecessors. Not to mention their rackets which have become high technology weapons made out of extralight, lethal materials.
We all know that other sports like Formula 1, football and basketball have introduced changes in order to make the races or the games more entertaining.

I think I can predict where the future of tennis is heading, and I’m afraid I don’t like what I see. If nothing is done, we will soon be witness to the almost total domination of speed and power to the detriment of skills and tactics. Tennis will just become a matter of brute force, rather than a sport in which players need to work on improving their skills, reflect on the game, and apply intelligent strategies.
If the trend continues, those of us who are involved in the game will have to adapt: we’ll have to leave our principles to one side and pursue a new kind of training that ignores reflection and leads to what the wise men of Greece rejected centuries ago: the separation of sport from the cultivation of the spirit.

Pot Luck

Finally...:-)

Uncle Toni

Toni Nadal: "I was worried that fame and money would affect Rafael´s career" via http://www.elmundo.es/vida-sana/bienestar/2016/03/21/56ebf6c946163f4b448b458c.html

"When we started to travel, Rafael was so little and my responsibility went b)eyond tennis but as he grew older, our familiar relationship took second place.

"During a tournament, in San Juan de Luz (France), Rafael was 16 and he went to have dinner with my friend. The following day he said to me that they ate mariscada (shellfish stew) and I replied that he was not old enough to have it and that the correct thing was to eat an hamburger. He had already signed important enough contracts with sports brands and he could afford it. I was worried that fame and money would affect his career and because of this I wanted him to behave like a normal boy."

Toni has three sons none of whom are not jealous of their cousin: "My sons are grateful to their cousin. Thanks to him, they have had the opportunity to go to US Open, Australia and Wimbledon, among other tournaments. For sure at the beginning I travelled a lot but now I alternate with Francis Roig and stay away from home for only 180 days. There were years where I stayed more time away from home. The most important thing is to have the luck to do what I like," said Toni, who"s accompanied Rafa in all tournaments in the last seven months.

What aspect of Rafa"s career has Toni helped develop the most? "As a coach, I consider character more important than improving technique. I think people who succeed in life are the ones who have perseverance. And it"s what I wanted to inculcate in Rafa from the beginning. My goal was to teach him to be always willing to face adversity and overcome it.

"I always pushed Rafa to try his best even in the worst conditions. I coached my nephew for tennis, but I would have done the same if I had to prepare him for any activity in life."

What"s Toni"s share in Rafa"s wins and losses: "When he usually won they said that I was a good coach. Now that he does not do so well, I"m the reason why Rafa loses (laughs). It"s that I believe to be having the luck to coach a good player."

If you teach a kid how to play forehand, can you teach the same kid to have will too? "For sure. I have always believed that a big problem of the current education system is that you teach kids things you can find on Google and you forget what"s fundamental: teaching themhow to work on their emotional intelligence and to dominate their will. That"s what I tried to do with Rafa. Being human means to being set in one"s ways. If you teach them to work every day without being demoralized or without inventing excuses, you end up considering this as something normal in the life."

Finding an excuse is the most simple thing: " I prefer to accept errors because if you get used to justifying your errors, you restrict your personal growth."

One of his most preferred phrases is "Withstand, Rafa." Why? "You can train everything, mind and body. Since he was very little, Rafael had a very difficult mental predisposition to improve, and he worked on resistence." Have they ever argued in public without getting noticed? "I remember only once in Madrid. Rafael was going through a complicated period. The match was going well but Rafa was starting to get confused and I told him: "Be careful now." He was like "Do not tell me anything because you make me get tense." At that moment I turned around, crossed my arms and didn"t return to follow him. In the locker room, he understood I was nervous and he believed my reaction was exaggerated. I replied that I had told him what I believed too, and if he did not like that I supported him he did not have to be disrespectful. Probably I did exaggerate but If I had allowed it, then anything could have happened. I have seen coaches who, after an argument, have abandoned the court and taken a fight home. To me, if it happened, I would be ashamed for one week."

Asked if Rafa will be a happy man once he will end his career, Toni said: "He will be a totally happy person because he likes so many things: he likes playing golf, going fishing, staying with friends and his family. His life is not only about tennis."

Salah ke ?

Aida ada sorang kawan baik lelaki. Kawan baik je tak lebih daripada tu. Dah berbelas tahun kami berkawan. Dulu dia duduk KL tapi sekarang dah pindah luar KL, Walaupun dah jauh tapi masih berhubung jugaklah. Jadi semalam Aida masa on the balik dari office Aida call dia. Sebabnya masa tu tengah jem. Boring kot. Sebab tu teringat nak Tanya khabar dia lah. Ringing tapi tak pick up.

'Please call back'.

Jadi Aida pun call lah balik.

Aida: Assalamualaikum!

Dia: W'salam. Sorry tak sempat pick up tadi. Tengah baring, sakit kepala.

Aida: Takpe.

Dia: Ada apa?

Aida: Apa yang ada apa?

Dia: Ada apa call?

Aida: Takde apa.

Kalau korang kat tempat Aida, korang sentap tak dengar soalan macam tu? Sebabnya Aida terus sentap bila dengar soalan macam tu. Camtuh.

Mungkin dia tak fikir macam tu pun. Tapi entahhhh...memang tak boleh terima soalan macam tu. Lebih2 lagi daripada so call kawan baik kan. Terus Aida terfikir, lepas ni memang takdelah nak call lagi kalau takde hal. Sekian. Terima kasih. Huhuhuuu...

Korang rasa Aida ni terlebih sensitif ke?

Teman-teman semua,

Jadi, carilah masa.

 Fikir-fikirkanlah teman.

Ulasan Buku : Anak-Anak Abah

Dah dekat seminggu Aida habis baca buku Anak-Anak Abah (AAA) ni. Bukan tak nak buat tapi tak tau nak mula macam mana.

Hajat hati kononnya nak buat ulasan lengkap. Yang terbaiklah konon. Tapi tak terbuat-buat. Walaupun Aida memang suka membaca tapi buat ulasan memang tak pernah. Kalau ulasan lisan tu biasalah. Cerita sana sini pasal buku yang dah dibaca. Kalau best Aida suruh diorang beli dan baca. Kalau tak best pada pandangan mata Aida, Aida bagi je pinjam buku Aida kat diorang tak payah diorang buang duit beli.

Meleret pulak intro. Makcik memang macam ni. Maaflah ya. :-)

Sebelum Aida cerita tentang AAA, Aida nak cerita sikit kenapa Aida beli buku AAA ni. Aida sebenarnya baru je mengenali tulisan Abg Nazali Noor @ Abg Naz ni. I kan penyokong Manchester United. Jadi apa yang berkaitan dengan Liverpool memang i tak ambik pot gitu. Hahahahaa..ntah apa-apa kan?

Tapi perancangan Allah kan memang sukar kita ramal. Bulan November 2015 masa pergi Karnival Karangkraf, hati ni nak sangat cari buku UYDL. Itulah manusia.

Tapi lepas khatam UYDL dan UYDL 2 (Aida nak buat ulasan juga pasal buku ni nanti) hati terus rasa macam nak kena beli AAA segera. Dok terfikir-fikir nak beli online tapi tak terbeli-beli.

Sampai je kat Karangkraf Mall tu, terus pi carik buku AAA. RJ bagi diskaun staf lagi, untungkan? Terus cakap kan RJ, sorrylah aritu sombong tak nak beli AAA ni....Hihihihi...ok. itulah serba sedikit cerita macam mana boleh beli AAA ni.

Ok. Sekarang baru nak mengulas.
